OUR MISSION

The mission of Fuzzy Pawz Shih Tzu Rescue WI, Inc. a charitable, non-profit organization, is to rescue and supply Shih Tzu or Shih Tzu mix, regardless of age or medical condition, with love, shelter, food, human companionship, medical care, and spay-neuter services through local veterinarians until permanent placement is secured into a prescreened loving home, as long as the dog is not dangerous to humans or other dogs.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to ensure that no Shih Tzu is forced to live his or her life in a puppy mill or needlessly euthanized due to the lack of medical care or an available, loving home.

Educating and informing the public about the commercial dog industry and about responsible pet ownership is also important to us.

WHO WE ARE

By day, we at Fuzzy Pawz Shih Tzu Rescue WI, Inc. are attorneys, trainers, data analysts, realtors, retirees, managers, and truck drivers. But our personal lives are dedicated to the rescue, care and transport of Shih Tzu and Shih Tzu mixes. We not only care for these precious little ones, we strive to find them placement in their loving forever homes. We have the best and most rewarding job in the world!

Each one of these little ones has touched our lives in special ways and have a permanent place in our hearts.

In addition, to the work of caring for the dogs, it is our goal to educate the public on the situations and circumstances Shih Tzu face, which include, puppy mills, nutrition, potty training, behavior disorders, abuse, and medical needs. While we are not behaviorists nor veterinarians, we can provide insight into some of the things we've encountered in our many years of foster care and rescue work.
